Avital 3308L 2-Way LCD Vehicle Security System

The Avital 3308L is a two-way LCD vehicle security system designed to add remote-controlled protection and everyday convenience to a compatible vehicle. It pairs a command-confirming LCD transmitter with a secondary one-way transmitter, allowing the driver to arm, disarm, locate the vehicle, and access connected convenience functions. The two-way remote provides a return message from the system so users can verify that a command was received.

This system is suited to drivers who want a dedicated aftermarket alarm with visual remote feedback rather than a basic one-way security setup. Its security functions monitor impact, door, ignition, trunk, and optional sensor inputs when properly connected. A six-tone siren, flashing parking-light output, and panic mode provide audible and visual responses when the system is triggered.

The 3308L uses an impact sensor with separate Warn Away and full-alarm responses for lighter and heavier impacts. The system also supports starter interrupt, which is designed to prevent a vehicle from starting when installed and activated; it does not shut down an already-running engine. Nuisance Prevention Circuitry can temporarily bypass repeatedly triggered zones to help reduce recurring false alarms.

For daily use, the system supports remote keyless entry and ignition-controlled door-lock operation when connected to the vehicle's compatible lock circuits. Two auxiliary outputs can be configured by the installer for connected convenience functions such as trunk release or window automation. The primary auxiliary channel can operate a connected trunk release, while the second output can control an additional connected accessory.

The Avital 3308L is compatible with Directed by VOXX SmartStart Pro for an expanded connected-control upgrade path. Its included control-center antenna combines the in-vehicle antenna, status LED, and Valet button in one assembly. With up to a 1/4-mile stated operating range, it is a practical security-focused upgrade for professionally installed vehicle electronics systems.

Design & Installation

The 3308L uses a compact vehicle-security control system with a separate windshield-mounted control center. This control center integrates the communication antenna, a visible status LED, and the Valet/control button. The included two-way transmitter uses an LCD display, internal antenna, programming button, command buttons, and a USB charging port; the one-way transmitter uses an internal antenna and transmit-status LED.

Professional installation is required because the system connects to vehicle electrical, security, ignition, lighting, and door-lock circuits. Confirm vehicle-specific interface requirements with an authorized installer, especially for door locks, trunk release, starter interrupt, optional sensors, and SmartStart Pro integration. Mount the control center in its intended windshield location and have the installer identify the Valet-button location and configured disarm setting before delivery.
