Viper 5808V 2-Way LED Remote Start & Security System

The Viper 5808V is a vehicle security and remote-start system designed to add everyday convenience while helping protect a parked vehicle. Its included 2-way LED remote confirms system commands, while the companion 1-way remote provides straightforward control. The system supports remote start, arming, disarming, keyless-entry functions, panic activation, and auxiliary-channel control when properly installed.

This system suits drivers who want remote vehicle control along with security functions in one installed package. The 2-way transmitter provides LED and audible confirmations for supported commands and system messages, helping the user know whether a command was received. Viper rates the system for up to a 1-mile operating range.

Security operation combines an impact sensor, six-tone siren, flashing parking-light output, and starter interrupt. The shock sensor distinguishes minor impacts from major impacts, allowing a Warn Away response for lighter disturbances and a full alarm trigger for more serious events. Point-of-entry monitoring can also be configured during installation for supported vehicle connections.

For daily use, the 5808V can control compatible power door-lock functions during arming and disarming. It also provides four auxiliary outputs that an installer can configure for compatible vehicle conveniences such as trunk release, powered hatch control, windows, or other supported accessories. Actual functions depend on the vehicle, connected hardware, and installer programming.

The 5808V can be expanded with the optional Viper SmartStart Pro VSM550 4G LTE GPS module for app-based connectivity. Its remote-start and security functions are intended for professionally integrated vehicle systems rather than plug-in use. Design & Installation

The system uses a compact 2-way LED command-confirming transmitter, a 1-way 5-button transmitter, and an in-vehicle control center. The control center incorporates the system antenna, status LED, and valet/control button. The 2-way remote has an internal antenna, LED confirmation indicators, command buttons, function button, and USB charging port.

Professional installation by an authorized dealer is required because vehicle wiring, remote-start safety circuits, door locks, alarm zones, and optional features vary by vehicle. The control center is typically installed at the upper portion of the front windshield, while the main system and wiring are integrated behind vehicle trim.
