This version includes a bi-color status indicator and is supplied without a preamp.

The furnished supercardioid capsule provides focused speech pickup with a smooth 50 Hz to 17 kHz frequency response. It is specified with a 120 dB maximum SPL and a 68 dB signal-to-noise ratio, supporting clear spoken-word capture in typical AV and conferencing systems. CommShield technology helps the microphone resist RF interference from portable wireless devices.

A bi-color LED at the bottom of the gooseneck provides visible microphone-status indication when used with a compatible base or system. The modular design uses a 6-pin connector rather than a conventional standalone XLR output. This makes the MX410LP/S a purpose-built component for compatible Shure mounting, desktop, and wireless base options.

The MX410LP/S is a practical choice for new installations and system expansions that already use Shure Microflex infrastructure. It can be paired with compatible MX400SMP, MX400DP, MX890, MXW8, or ULXD8 base hardware as appropriate for the application. A snap-fit foam windscreen is included for added protection against breath noise and plosives.

Design & Installation

The MX410LP/S uses a slim black gooseneck format with a low-profile appearance suited to permanent AV installations. Its electret condenser design, furnished supercardioid cartridge, and bottom-mounted bi-color indicator are integrated into a compact modular microphone assembly. The microphone weighs 0.150 lb and includes a removable snap-fit foam windscreen.

This model is supplied less preamp and uses a 6-pin modular connector, so it is not intended to connect directly to a standard XLR microphone input. Select a compatible Shure base or preamp for the mounting style and system type, such as the MX400SMP surface-mount preamp, MX400DP desktop base, MX890 wireless desktop base, MXW8 wireless desktop base, or ULXD8 wireless desktop base. Position the microphone close to the intended talker and orient the supercardioid capsule toward that speaker.
