The Shure BLX14R/MX53-H10 is a single-channel rack-mount wireless presenter system built around the BLX4R receiver, BLX1 bodypack transmitter, and MX153 earset microphone. It provides a hands-free microphone solution for spoken-word reinforcement in installed AV systems, meeting rooms, classrooms, worship spaces, and presentation environments. This H10 version operates in the 542–572 MHz frequency band, so users should confirm local spectrum authorization and frequency availability before use.

The MX153 is an ultralight omnidirectional earset microphone designed to sit discreetly over either ear. Its subminiature electret condenser capsule is intended to maintain natural speech pickup while helping reduce plosive effects and avoiding proximity-effect bass buildup. The included windscreen, collar clip, and storage pouch support practical day-to-day presentation use.

The BLX1 bodypack connects to the MX153 through its 4-pin TA4 microphone input and provides adjustable audio gain. Two AA alkaline batteries power the transmitter for up to 14 hours under typical conditions. Its molded ABS housing keeps the pack compact for belt- or clothing-mounted use.

At the rack, the BLX4R receiver provides balanced XLR and 1/4-inch audio outputs for connection to a mixer, amplifier, DSP, or installed sound system. Microprocessor-controlled internal antenna diversity helps support stable reception, while the front-panel LCD provides RF and audio metering. QuickScan frequency selection helps locate an available operating frequency when setting up the system.

This system is a practical fit for venues that need one dedicated wireless presenter channel in a rack-based audio installation. The BLX4R receiver includes removable antennas and hardware that support rack mounting and antenna-routing options. Design & Installation

The BLX4R receiver combines molded ABS construction with steel elements and is sized for standard rack installation. Its removable quarter-wave antennas connect by BNC, while the MX153 uses a flexible, lightweight over-ear design with a Kevlar-reinforced soft-flex cable. The BLX1 bodypack uses a molded ABS enclosure and includes a belt clip for wearable placement.

Mount the BLX4R in a rack using the supplied mounting hardware, then connect its XLR or 1/4-inch output to an appropriate mixer, amplifier, or audio processor. Attach the MX153 to the BLX1's TA4 input, install two AA batteries, and match the transmitter group and channel to the receiver after scanning. Keep receiver antennas clear of large metal objects where possible, and verify that the H10 frequency range is permitted and usable at the installation location.
