The sE Electronics guitaRF is a guitar amplifier microphone isolation filter and dual-microphone positioning system for live performance and recording. It combines a curved Reflexion Filter-style acoustic panel with integrated microphone mounting hardware, reducing the need for separate stands and mounting accessories around a guitar cabinet. It is intended to help control bleed and nearby room reflections when close-miking amplified instruments.

This system is designed for guitarists, engineers, and live sound crews who want to use two microphones on one source while keeping their placement controlled. Its integrated mounts accommodate a large-diaphragm condenser or ribbon microphone alongside a dynamic or small-capsule microphone. This makes it practical for blending different microphone characters, such as a center-of-dust-cap dynamic mic with a ribbon aimed toward the cone edge.

The guitaRF is built to help create a more focused capture in loud rehearsal rooms, studios, and onstage environments. The filter helps reduce spill from surrounding instruments while the dual-mic arrangement supports repeatable placement. It can be useful when recording separate microphone tracks for later tonal blending and phase adjustment.

Its acoustic filter uses four layers: a vented composite outer panel, acoustic-grade wool, an air gap, and inner acoustic foam. The air gap is designed to support low-frequency isolation, while the remaining layers help manage reflections around the microphones. This construction is paired with an integrated hardware assembly that adjusts across vertical, horizontal, and depth axes.

The guitaRF fits into electric-guitar, bass-cabinet, acoustic-instrument, drum, and vocal recording setups where microphone isolation is useful. The detachable base allows it to stand independently, while the filter can also mount to a compatible microphone stand. A rear cable-clip bracket helps route one or two microphone cables and reduce the chance that cable movement changes microphone placement.

Its integrated design includes a threaded hanging mount for a condenser or ribbon microphone, a pass-through holder for a dynamic or small-capsule microphone, and a detachable floor base. The filter's four-layer construction uses a vented composite panel, acoustic-grade wool, an air gap, and acoustic foam.

For freestanding use, attach the vertical standoff to the filter and secure it in the base. The guitaRF can alternatively mount to a standard 5/8-inch microphone-stand thread or a 3/8-inch thread with the included adapter. Use the adjustment hardware to align the two microphone capsules, then attach the included rear cable clips to help keep cables from shifting the setup; conventional vertical mic stands are the recommended mounting choice.
