The included PMX-2 receiver has a built-in four-channel amplifier rated at 25 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms. It can power compatible speakers directly, while front and selectable rear-or-subwoofer RCA outputs support expansion with external amplifiers. A 7-band graphic EQ, Punch EQ control, selectable crossovers, and independent subwoofer level control provide useful system-tuning options.

The receiver uses a compact 2.7-inch color TFT display, backlit controls, and a water-resistant rotary encoder for straightforward operation in a Ranger cockpit. Bluetooth supports wireless music streaming, while the front USB port supports music playback and charging. The AM/FM/Weather Band tuner adds traditional radio and weather-band reception when an antenna is installed.
