The R2SD2-12 combines a heavy-gauge stamped-steel frame with a polypropylene cone, poly-foam surround, attached poly-cotton spider, and aluminum voice-coil former. It also includes a semi-flexible PVC integrated trim ring. The design uses flexible stitched lead wires and high-temperature bonding at the neck joint to support repeated cone movement.

Confirm that the enclosure provides at least the required 11.25-inch cutout clearance and 3.60-inch mounting depth before installation. For a sealed system, use the recommended 0.90-cubic-foot enclosure target; a vented design requires 1.79 cubic feet, a 4-inch port, and the specified port length. Wire the two 2-ohm voice coils only in a configuration supported by the amplifier, and use an active low-pass crossover around 80-100 Hz at 12 dB per octave as recommended in the owner documentation.
