Design & Installation

The AV 12 D2 II uses a die-cast aluminum basket, high-density-flux ferrite magnet, polypropylene cone, nitrile-rubber surround, glass-fiber former, and CCAW voice coil. The basket includes cable-routing hooks, and the spring-loaded terminals accept up to 8 AWG speaker cable. A black metal mesh grille and mounting screws are included.

Use the 284 mm mounting-hole specification when planning the baffle cutout, and allow sufficient rear clearance for the listed mounting dimensions. Audison provides sealed and reflex enclosure examples; the compact sealed design uses 21 L, while the compact reflex design uses 27.1 L tuned to 26.5 Hz.
