This system uses one Punch P3 shallow-mount dual voice coil subwoofer and presents a final 1-ohm load. It is rated for 400 watts RMS and 800 watts peak power handling. Pair it with an amplifier that is stable at 1 ohm and appropriately rated for the enclosure's continuous power capability.

The sealed enclosure design is intended for controlled, accurate low-frequency reproduction rather than the character of a vented box. The enclosure is internally configured from the driver's dual 2-ohm voice coils to a 1-ohm final impedance.

The P3S-1X12 can be used as the dedicated low-frequency section of an aftermarket car-audio system. It requires a compatible external amplifier, speaker wire, and secure vehicle mounting. Its compact wedge profile helps it integrate into trucks and other vehicles where a conventional deep subwoofer enclosure is impractical.

The P3S-1X12 uses a sealed slim-line wedge enclosure constructed from 5/8-inch MDF and finished in black carpet. It includes a stitched Diamond-R logo, a single input terminal connection, and quick-release 10 AWG input terminals. The installed P3SD2-12 driver includes a StampCast basket, integrated spider venting, a cast-aluminum trim ring, and a shallow magnet motor structure.

Measure the intended location before purchase, allowing for the enclosure's 13.5-inch height, 27.375-inch width, and wedge depth. Secure the enclosure to the vehicle using appropriate mounting hardware so it cannot shift during driving. Connect it only to an amplifier rated to operate safely at a 1-ohm load, and set gain and crossover controls carefully to avoid exceeding its 400-watt RMS rating.
