The Rockford Fosgate P300-12 is a self-contained powered subwoofer system that combines a 12-inch woofer, integrated amplifier, and sealed enclosure in one package. It is intended for drivers who want to add low-frequency output without separately selecting and matching a subwoofer, amplifier, and box. With the amplifier built into the enclosure, it reduces the number of components required for a bass upgrade.

The integrated Class-D amplifier is rated at 300 watts RMS and 600 watts peak. Its sealed enclosure design supports controlled bass response and straightforward placement in a trunk or cargo area. The system uses a closed-loop design intended to match the woofer, amplifier, and enclosure as a complete assembly.

The P300-12 can work with aftermarket receivers through its RCA low-level input or with many factory systems through its speaker-level input. A selectable input level and automatic turn-on options help it integrate into a range of vehicle audio systems. Its remote, DC-offset, and audio-sensing turn-on modes provide installation flexibility.

Built-in tuning controls allow the subwoofer to be adjusted to blend with the vehicle's main speakers. The variable low-pass crossover operates from 50 Hz to 200 Hz, while the Punch Bass control provides adjustable boost centered at 45 Hz. A 0°/180° phase switch can help optimize bass response based on enclosure placement and vehicle acoustics.

The wedge-shaped enclosure measures 15.0 inches high by 19.8 inches wide, with depths of 11.0 and 7.0 inches. It uses 5/8-inch MDF construction with an industrial heat-activated vinyl covering. A wired Punch Level Control is included for convenient bass-level adjustment from the driver's seat.

The P300-12 uses a sealed 5/8-inch MDF wedge enclosure covered in industrial heat-activated vinyl. Its built-in amplifier uses Class-D circuitry, convection cooling, and an extruded-aluminum heat sink. Power and protect indicators, thermal protection, and over/under-voltage protection are incorporated into the design.

Install the enclosure securely in a suitable trunk or cargo-area location, leaving access to its controls and connections. The system requires vehicle power, ground, and an audio signal connection; it accepts either RCA low-level or speaker-level signal input. Use the included remote level control for on-the-go adjustment, and set gain, crossover, bass boost, phase, input type, and turn-on mode during system setup.
