JBL Club 1200SSL 12" Shallow Loaded Subwoofer Enclosure

The JBL Club 1200SSL is a loaded 12-inch shallow subwoofer enclosure designed to add low-frequency output where cargo space is limited. Its low-profile enclosure is suited to vehicle installations that cannot accommodate a conventional full-depth subwoofer box. The enclosure comes loaded and ready to connect to a compatible external amplifier.

Design & Installation

The enclosure is built from 3/4-inch (18mm) medium-density fiberboard with a rugged black carpet covering. Its shallow cabinet measures 27-5/8 inches wide, 14-5/8 inches deep, and 4-7/8 inches high. The down-firing layout, removable feet, and removable logo badge support a clean, adaptable installation.

Connect the enclosure's positive and negative terminals to the speaker outputs of a compatible amplifier, observing correct polarity. JBL specifies speaker wire of at least 4 mm² (11 AWG) for enclosure connections. Secure the enclosure to a suitable mounting surface in a cargo or trunk area that does not interfere with cargo, fold-down seats, or trunk-lid operation.
