The Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-12T is a self-contained powered subwoofer enclosure designed to add low-frequency output without separately matching a subwoofer, amplifier, and box. Its slim truck-style wedge enclosure houses one 12-inch woofer and an integrated 300-watt RMS Class-D amplifier. It is suited to drivers who want a straightforward bass upgrade for a factory or aftermarket audio system.

The sealed enclosure emphasizes controlled, musical low-end response while keeping the system consolidated into one component. A variable low-pass crossover lets the subwoofer blend with full-range speakers, while adjustable bass boost and phase controls support system tuning. Its specified frequency response is 35 Hz to 200 Hz.

The P300-12T uses a proprietary high-output woofer optimized to operate with its built-in amplifier and enclosure. The amplifier's closed-loop design is intended to coordinate the woofer, amplifier, and sealed box as a matched system. With 300 watts RMS and 600 watts peak power handling, it provides a meaningful bass foundation for everyday listening.

Integration options include both high-level speaker inputs and low-level RCA inputs. This makes the enclosure practical for retaining a factory radio or connecting it to an aftermarket receiver with preamp outputs. An auto turn-on selector supports remote-trigger, DC-offset-sensing, and audio-sensing activation methods.

Design & Installation

The P300-12T uses a sealed, 5/8-inch MDF enclosure finished in industrial heat-activated vinyl. Its wedge-shaped cabinet measures 15 inches high by 25.8 inches wide, with 4.8-inch and 8.5-inch depth points. The integrated amplifier uses an extruded-aluminum heat sink, convection cooling, and power/protect status LEDs.

Confirm available mounting space before installation, especially in truck cabins where seat position and cargo clearance vary. Connect it using either high-level speaker wiring or the supplied low/high-level input harness, then use appropriate 8 AWG power and ground wiring with 18 AWG remote wiring when applicable. Set the crossover, bass boost, phase, and gain after installation to blend the enclosure with the vehicle's existing speakers.
