The Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD9813 is a direct-fit digital media receiver made for select 1998-2013 Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles. It replaces the factory radio while adding modern music playback, Bluetooth streaming, USB connectivity, auxiliary input, and digital AM/FM reception. It is intended for riders who want updated source-unit functionality without modifying the motorcycle's factory radio location.

A 3-inch color TFT display provides source information and menu access in a compact factory-style layout. Day and night display modes, a dimmer function, a rotary encoder, and oversized controls help make adjustments more practical on a motorcycle. The receiver also retains factory thumb-control functionality without additional parts on compatible applications.

The PMX-HD9813 includes a built-in four-channel amplifier rated at 25 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms. Its front, rear, and subwoofer RCA preamp outputs provide up to 4 volts for adding external amplification. Independent subwoofer level control, balance, fader, source gain adjustment, and crossover settings allow the receiver to serve as the control center of a staged motorcycle audio system.

Sound tuning includes a 7-band graphic equalizer, parametric EQ, selectable crossover settings, and Punch EQ processing. The crossover can be configured by front, rear, and subwoofer zones to help tailor the signal for speakers, amplifiers, and subwoofer systems. Bluetooth 3.0+EDR supports A2DP audio streaming, while USB playback supports compatible digital music files and connected iPhone or iPod devices.

Built for exposed motorcycle installations, the PMX-HD9813 has an IPX6-rated front face, an IPX4-rated rear chassis, ASTM D4329 UV certification, and CISPR 25 Class 3 EMI compliance. It is SiriusXM-ready when used with a separate SiriusXM Connect tuner, antenna, and subscription. This receiver is a practical upgrade path for compatible Harley-Davidson models using factory connectors and a stock-style fairing installation.

An RCA output harness is included for aftermarket amplifier connections, while systems needing rear speaker-line outputs require the RFK-HD9813 kit or separately available 1130-72997-01 rear harness. Disconnect the battery before installation, and use a qualified installer if you are not comfortable removing the fairing and factory radio.
