Rockford Fosgate M2WL-10HB 10" Horn-Loaded Wake Tower Speakers

The Rockford Fosgate M2WL-10HB is a pair of black 10-inch wake tower speakers built for marine audio systems. Each loaded enclosure combines a full-range driver and horn tweeter to bring music farther across open water. They are suited to boats, wake towers, and select UTV applications where listeners are positioned away from the speakers.

These speakers use a horn-loaded 2-way design intended for open-air listening, where wind, engine noise, and distance can reduce clarity. Their 20 Hz to 25 kHz rated frequency response and 97 dB sensitivity support strong projection and detailed high-frequency output. Each speaker is rated at 300 watts RMS with a 4-ohm nominal impedance.

The M2WL-10HB uses an integrated 1-inch high-efficiency horn tweeter and a concealed crossover network. Its injection-molded mineral-filled polypropylene cone includes UV inhibitors, while the VAST surround design increases effective radiating cone area. The sealed wake-can enclosure is made from high-density ASA material for marine-oriented use.

Color Optix RGB lighting adds illumination around the system, including a rear lighted medallion that can be rotated to keep the logo aligned after mounting. A compatible Rockford Fosgate Color Optix controller is required to change LED color functions. The lighting circuit operates from 9 to 16 VDC and uses a recommended 1-amp fuse.

For a complete tower-audio upgrade, the pair can be connected to an amplifier that is stable at 4 ohms and matched appropriately to the speakers' RMS rating. Integrated 6-pin Deutsch/Amphenol-style connections support speaker and RGB wiring through the clamp or directly at the enclosure. Universal clamps and two grille styles are included to support a clean installation and tailored appearance.

Design & Installation

The black M2WL-10HB wake cans use sealed high-density ASA enclosures, UV-stable ASA frame and grille components, stainless-steel grille inserts, and mineral-filled polypropylene cones with UV inhibitors. Stainless-steel grilles are pre-installed, and black Sport grilles are included as an alternate look. The RGB rear medallion can rotate for logo alignment, and the enclosures can be adjusted and secured with the included Safety Torx wrench.

Mount the included universal clamps to a compatible 1.5- to 3-inch-diameter tower bar, confirming clearance for speaker rotation before final tightening. The supplied 6-pin harnesses carry speaker and RGB connections, with options for through-clamp or direct enclosure wiring. Follow polarity markings, use the supplied grommets where needed, and protect the LED circuit with the recommended 1-amp fuse.
