The JBL JBLMT10HLWAM Tower X Marine MT10HLW is a pair of enclosed 10-inch, 2-way marine tower speakers designed for boat-tower installations. It brings dedicated rider-focused sound to wakeboats and other marine systems where conventional rear-facing tower speakers can direct too much sound toward the water. Integrated RGB lighting adds visual coordination for boats with existing accent lighting.

Each speaker combines a 10-inch long-throw polypropylene woofer with a rubber surround and a horn-loaded titanium compression tweeter. This configuration is designed to provide bass weight from the woofer along with clear high-frequency projection from the compression horn. With 250 watts RMS power handling and 92 dB sensitivity, these speakers are intended for use with appropriately matched external marine amplification.

The Tower X design uses an angled baffle intended to aim the driver assembly toward the rider's listening area rather than directly behind the boat. This orientation helps project sound over the stern and can reduce reflections from the water. The result is a more purposeful tower-speaker layout for tow-sports use.

Design & Installation

The MT10HLW uses enclosed white speaker housings with rigid polypropylene woofer cones, rubber surrounds, titanium compression tweeters, and marine-oriented materials. Its low-profile two-piece bracket rotates through 360 degrees, while the angled baffle is engineered to direct the speaker output toward the rider zone. JBL also specifies salt-spray and UV testing as part of its marine-speaker reliability process.

Mount the included brackets to a compatible tower bar measuring 1.75 to 3 inches in diameter, then aim the assemblies for the intended listening area. Wiring can be routed through the tower bar and bottom bracket for a cleaner installation; the package includes speaker/RGB cables and mounting hardware. Use an external amplifier appropriate for the speakers' 4-ohm impedance and 250-watt RMS power-handling rating, and connect the RGB leads either for hard-wired color selection or to a compatible RGB controller.
