The Rockford Fosgate GNRL-STAGE2 is a vehicle-specific stereo and front speaker upgrade kit for select Polaris GENERAL models. It brings a dedicated digital media receiver, custom dash integration, two 6.5-inch marine speakers, and matching front lower enclosures together in one package. The kit is designed for riders who want a complete front audio foundation without adding an external amplifier or subwoofer system.

At the center of the system is the PMX-2 compact marine digital media receiver with AM, FM, and weather-band tuning. Bluetooth streaming, USB playback and charging, and an auxiliary input give riders several ways to access music on the trail. Its 2.7-inch color TFT display is intended for clear viewing in outdoor conditions.

The included RM1652B speakers are 6.5-inch, two-way marine coaxials rated at 75 watts RMS each. Their 4-ohm design, 1-inch tweeters, and 49 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response support clear full-range playback from the PMX-2's built-in amplifier. The front lower enclosures place the speakers in a model-specific location while preserving passenger space.

Rockford Fosgate builds the kit around Element Ready protection for use in exposed powersports environments. The PMX-2 is IPX6-rated and includes a water-resistant rotary encoder, while the speaker system uses marine-oriented materials and corrosion-resistant hardware. The RFGNRL-PMXDK dash kit is molded to coordinate with the GENERAL dashboard and provides the source-unit mounting hardware.

GNRL-STAGE2 is a practical starting point for a GENERAL audio system because it includes front speakers and a source unit while retaining expansion options. The PMX-2 provides front and rear-or-subwoofer RCA preamp outputs for adding external amplification later. A direct-connect harness is included for compatible GENERAL applications, but a radio antenna is not included.

The RFGNRL-FSE enclosure pair uses a sealed, roto-molded construction intended for a lightweight, durable installation. The PMX-2 and marine speakers are designed for outdoor powersports exposure, including water, dust, UV, vibration, and corrosion considerations.

Confirm vehicle trim and model-year fitment before ordering, as the kit is not compatible with Ride Command Edition models. Installation uses the supplied dash hardware and direct-connect GENERAL wiring harness; follow the included component instructions for routing and connections. Add a compatible antenna separately for radio reception, and use the PMX-2 RCA outputs if expanding the system with an external amplifier later.
