Bundle total: $658.90

The PreSonus AudioBox USB 96 Complete Bundle is an all-in-one desktop recording package built around a 2-input, 2-output USB audio interface. It brings together an interface, compact powered studio monitors, a condenser microphone, monitoring headphones, cables, and recording software access. It is designed to give musicians, podcasters, vocalists, and beginning producers a coordinated starting point for recording at home.

At the center of the package, the AudioBox USB 96 captures and plays back audio at up to 24-bit/96 kHz resolution. Its two front-panel XLR/1/4-inch combo inputs accept microphones, guitars, basses, and line-level sources. A front-panel Mix control blends direct input sound with computer playback for latency-free hardware monitoring while recording.

The included M7 MKII is a cardioid back-electret condenser microphone intended for close vocal and instrument capture. Its directional cardioid pattern helps focus on the sound source in front of the microphone. The included HD7 headphones use 50 mm neodymium drivers and a semi-open acoustic design for detailed monitoring during tracking and mix review.

A pair of Eris 3.5 powered monitors provides nearfield playback for editing, arranging, and general listening. Each speaker uses a 3.5-inch woven glass-fiber composite low-frequency driver and a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter. High- and low-frequency controls allow the monitor response to be adjusted for placement and room conditions.

This bundle can serve as a first complete recording workspace or as a portable front end for a larger computer-based setup. The AudioBox provides balanced main outputs for monitor upgrades, MIDI input and output for compatible hardware, and a dedicated headphone output. The included perpetual Studio One Pro license provides a recording and production platform for building projects around the supplied hardware.

Key Features

  • 2x2 USB Audio Interface: Records and plays back up to two channels at 24-bit/96 kHz resolution.
  • Dual Combo Inputs: Connect microphones, instruments, and line-level sources through two front-panel inputs.
  • Direct Monitoring Control: Blends live input with computer playback without software-monitoring latency.
  • M7 MKII Condenser Microphone: Cardioid microphone supports vocal and instrument recording with phantom power.
  • Eris 3.5 Powered Monitors: Compact 50-watt Class AB monitor pair includes acoustic-tuning controls.
  • Studio One Pro License: Includes a perpetual license for computer-based recording and production.

Design & Installation

The AudioBox USB 96 uses a compact black chassis designed for desktop and mobile recording use. The Eris 3.5 monitors use vinyl-laminated medium-density fiberboard cabinets, while the HD7 headphones use lightweight construction with long-lasting ear pads. The bundle combines dedicated recording, monitoring, and playback components rather than relying on a computer's built-in audio hardware.

Connect the AudioBox to a computer through USB 2.0, then connect the M7 MKII to either combo input with its XLR cable and enable +48V phantom power when needed. Connect powered monitors to the balanced left and right main outputs using appropriate 1/4-inch TRS cables, or use the HD7 headphones from the interface's 1/4-inch headphone output. Position the Eris monitors at ear level in a nearfield listening arrangement, and use their high- and low-frequency controls to suit the room and speaker placement.
