The Kenwood KCA-RC55MR is a wired marine and motorsports remote control designed to place receiver operation where it is most convenient. It connects to compatible Kenwood receivers, allowing users to manage key functions without returning to the main head unit. Its compact round format is suited to helm stations, passenger areas, consoles, and other secondary control locations.

This remote is intended for boat, UTV, ATV, and similar installations where the receiver may be mounted out of reach or out of sight. It provides access to power, volume, source selection, track or station changes, display functions, and selected audio controls. The integrated two-line LCD provides receiver information at the remote location.

The KCA-RC55MR does not add amplification or change the sound character of the audio system. Instead, it preserves access to the connected receiver's available functions from another position. This makes it useful for maintaining practical control of music and source playback while underway or away from the primary receiver.

For outdoor use, the remote uses an IPX7 waterproof design and white display illumination. Its 3-1/2-inch round size supports a clean integrated appearance in compatible mounting surfaces. The wired connection avoids battery replacement and communicates directly with the compatible receiver.

The KCA-RC55MR can also support multi-remote system layouts when used with the appropriate optional Kenwood splitter and extension cables. Compatible systems can use up to three remotes, depending on the receiver and connection arrangement. Design & Installation

The KCA-RC55MR has a compact 3-1/2-inch round face, a two-line LCD, and a weather-oriented IPX7 waterproof construction. Supplied mounting hardware and a foam gasket support a secure installed fit. White illumination complements the display for use after dark.

Mount the remote in a suitable flat location with the specified mounting depth available, then route its attached cable to the remote-control input of a compatible Kenwood receiver. Remote ID registration is required when connecting the unit to supported receivers. For longer runs or multiple remote locations, use the optional Kenwood CA-EX7MR or CA-EX3MR extension cable and CA-Y107MR splitter as applicable.
