The JBL BassPro Go V2 is a compact powered car-audio solution that combines an in-vehicle subwoofer with a removable portable Bluetooth speaker. It is designed for drivers who want added low-frequency output without committing to a permanently installed large subwoofer enclosure. When docked, it mounts and charges in the vehicle while supporting subwoofer or full-range operation.

For a car system, BassPro Go V2 provides up to 100 watts RMS in subwoofer mode and is intended to supplement the low end of an existing full-range speaker system. Its adjustable low-pass filter, bass boost, phase control, and gain settings help tailor output to the vehicle and source unit. High-level and low-level input compatibility supports installation with many factory and aftermarket audio systems.

When removed from its vehicle dock, the BassPro Go V2 becomes a battery-powered Bluetooth speaker for music away from the car. Its rechargeable NiMH battery supports up to eight hours of music playback, depending on volume level and program material. A USB Type-A charging output can also supply power to compatible mobile devices.

The portable design includes a rear safety cover that protects the connection area when the speaker is undocked. With the cover installed, the unit carries an IPX5 water-resistance rating for portable use. Bluetooth 4.2 wireless streaming supports compatible devices, and JBL Connect functionality allows two BassPro Go speakers to play together.

For an upgrade path, BassPro Go V2 is suited to vehicles where removable cargo-area audio is useful or where a conventional separate amplifier and enclosure are not desired. The included vehicle dock, wiring harness, high-level adapters, and remote bass control provide the core components needed for installation. Professional installation is recommended when the vehicle requires battery, ground, remote-turn-on, or factory-audio integration work.

Design & Installation

BassPro Go V2 uses an integrated enclosure with a protective grille, a removable rear safety cover, and a dedicated vehicle mounting dock. The built-in Class D amplification, multicolor LED indicators, onboard settings controls, and remote bass controller are designed to keep system adjustment straightforward. The portable enclosure measures 15-7/8 inches long, 8-3/16 inches wide, and 7-13/16 inches high.

Install the included dock securely on a suitable vehicle mounting surface, then connect the supplied harness with its in-line fuse to the vehicle electrical system and audio source. High-level adapters are included for speaker-level integration, while low-level inputs can be used with compatible preamp outputs. For portable use, release the speaker from the dock, disconnect the harness, and install the rear cover before using it around water.
