The Rockford Fosgate P300-10 is a self-powered bass enclosure built around a single 10-inch subwoofer and an integrated 300-watt RMS amplifier. It provides a compact way to add low-frequency output without separately selecting, wiring, and mounting an external amplifier and subwoofer enclosure. The sealed wedge enclosure is suited to vehicle installations where cargo-space efficiency and straightforward integration are priorities.

This model is designed for drivers upgrading either a factory or aftermarket audio system. Its RCA and speaker-level input options allow it to accept signal from a variety of source units, including systems without dedicated preamp outputs. A selectable automatic turn-on function can further simplify integration with compatible factory speaker wiring.

The P300-10 is rated for 300 watts RMS and 600 watts peak, with a 35 Hz to 200 Hz frequency response. Its adjustable low-pass crossover lets the bass range be blended with the vehicle's full-range speakers. An adjustable Punch Bass control and 0°/180° phase switch provide additional setup flexibility for the vehicle and installation location.

Rockford Fosgate uses a matched, closed-loop approach that combines the woofer, amplifier, and enclosure as one system. The built-in 12 dB-per-octave Butterworth low-pass filter is adjustable from 50 Hz to 200 Hz. Gain adjustment and the included wired Punch Level Control make it possible to set the enclosure's output for the system and make bass-level changes from the front of the vehicle.

The enclosure uses quick-disconnect power and signal connections, which can make removal easier when cargo space is needed. Its wedge profile measures 13.3 inches high by 18.0 inches wide, with 8.9-inch and 5.9-inch depth measurements. It is a practical powered-subwoofer option for trunk or passenger-compartment installations with adequate ventilation around the amplifier section.

Design & Installation

The P300-10 combines a proprietary 10-inch woofer, integrated amplifier, and sealed enclosure in a single assembly. The enclosure is constructed from 5/8-inch MDF and covered in industrial heat-activated vinyl. A Power/Protect indicator and protection circuitry help communicate operating status, while the quick-disconnect power connector supports convenient service or removal.

Installation requires battery power, chassis ground, and an input signal connection; a remote turn-on lead may be used, or the unit can be configured for DC-offset or audio-sense turn-on. Use the supplied RCA/speaker harness for low-level RCA or high-level speaker input, set the input-level switch accordingly, and secure the enclosure in a structurally sound location. Leave at least 1 inch of air space around the amplifier heatsink, use properly fused power wiring, and have a qualified installer complete the work if needed.
