The Rockford Fosgate T1S1-10 is a 10-inch slim subwoofer built for vehicle audio systems where mounting depth is limited. Its 3.01-inch mounting depth helps it fit in compact custom enclosures, behind-seat installations, and other shallow locations where a conventional subwoofer may not fit. This model uses a single 1-ohm voice coil for a straightforward low-impedance subwoofer connection.

With 500 watts RMS power handling and 1,000 watts maximum power handling, the T1S1-10 is intended for systems using a properly matched subwoofer amplifier. Its 32-250 Hz frequency response and 82 dB sensitivity support dedicated low-frequency reproduction rather than full-range speaker duty. A 15 mm Xmax specification provides the cone travel needed for bass output in its shallow format.

The T1S1-10 uses a carbon fiber, PMI, and glass fiber composite cone with an aluminum dustcap. An injection-molded foam surround with Rockford Fosgate's VAST design supports cone movement while increasing effective radiating area. Dual Nomex progressive spiders with integrated lead wires help control the moving assembly during operation.

Its shallow architecture is supported by a high-temperature, high-energy neodymium motor structure and a slotted voice-coil assembly. The single 2.5-inch, four-layer voice coil uses interior and exterior windings, while the vented pole piece and integrated copper-cap heat-sinking shorting ring are designed to support thermal management. These engineering elements allow a slim subwoofer layout without relying on a deep traditional basket and motor profile.

The T1S1-10 can be used in sealed or vented enclosures according to the manufacturer's enclosure guidance. A sealed enclosure suits compact system designs, while the manual also provides a vented alignment for higher output around its tuning frequency. The T1S1-10 combines a carbon fiber/PMI/glass fiber cone, aluminum dustcap, injection-molded foam surround, dual Nomex progressive spiders, and an aluminum die-cast frame. Its motor assembly uses neodymium, a vented pole piece, and an integrated copper-cap heat-sinking shorting ring. A detachable die-cast aluminum trim ring is included as part of the subwoofer assembly.

Allow for a 9.13-inch cutout diameter, 10.83-inch overall diameter, and 3.01-inch mounting depth when planning an enclosure. The subwoofer uses slot-loaded 10 AWG speaker terminals, and the manufacturer recommends an active 80-100 Hz low-pass crossover at 12 dB per octave for subwoofer use. For the specified vented enclosure, use a subsonic or infrasonic filter at or above 27 Hz.
