The Memphis SRXE12SA is a self-powered 12-inch bass system that combines a subwoofer, ported enclosure, and amplifier in one vehicle-ready package. It is designed for drivers who want to add low-frequency output without separately selecting a subwoofer enclosure and matching amplifier. The integrated amplifier supplies 300 watts RMS to the included SRX woofer.

A front-ported enclosure gives the SRXE12SA an output-focused bass character while keeping the installation centered around one compact assembly. Its adjustable low-pass filter lets the subwoofer blend with a vehicle's full-range speakers by limiting the frequencies sent to the enclosure. A variable bass boost and selectable phase control provide additional setup flexibility.

The SRXE12SA can work with aftermarket and factory-style audio systems through its RCA and high-level input options. Its input-mode switch selects low-level RCA or high-level speaker input, while the DC/REM switch supports DC-offset sensing through the high-level input or a conventional remote-turn-on connection. This makes it suitable for a range of source-unit configurations.

Integrated RGB illumination adds a customizable visual accent to the front of the enclosure. The onboard RGB control cycles through seven preset colors, and an external RGB port supports optional controller-based color control. A supplied bass-level remote gives the driver a convenient way to adjust subwoofer output from the listening position.

This powered enclosure is a practical upgrade path for a vehicle that needs dedicated bass while retaining its existing speakers and source unit. The built-in amplifier eliminates the need to mount a separate subwoofer amplifier, but the system still requires proper power, ground, signal, and turn-on connections. Design & Installation

The SRXE12SA uses a carpeted, embroidered enclosure with a front-ported design, integrated amplifier, and front-panel RGB lighting. Its single 12-inch woofer is installed in the enclosure, so there is no separate box-building or subwoofer-mounting step. A removable power terminal supports easier enclosure removal when access to the cargo area is required.

Install the enclosure in a secure location with adequate clearance for its dimensions and wiring connections. Connect its +12V lead directly to the vehicle battery, use an equally sized ground wire to a clean chassis-ground point, and install a circuit breaker or fuse within 18 inches of the battery. Choose either RCA or high-level input, select DC sensing or remote turn-on as appropriate for the source unit, then set gain, crossover, phase, and bass boost carefully to suit the system.
