Hertz VENEZIA V6 6-Channel Marine Amplifier

The Hertz VENEZIA V6 is a six-channel marine amplifier designed to add high-output amplification to boat and outdoor audio systems. It can power six speakers independently or be configured for five-, four-, or three-channel operation through bridged channels. This flexibility helps support systems ranging from multi-zone speaker layouts to a combination of full-range speakers and subwoofers.

At 14.4V, the amplifier delivers 160 watts RMS to each of six 4-ohm channels or 290 watts RMS to each of six 2-ohm channels. Its 4-ohm bridged output capability supports higher-power channels for subwoofers or dual-mono applications. The result is a versatile power platform for marine speakers that need substantial output in open-air environments.

Hertz Advanced Class D architecture is used to provide efficient power delivery in a compact chassis. The amplifier has a 10 Hz to 42 kHz bandwidth and is specified for Hi-Res performance. Balanced fully-differential input circuitry is designed to help reject electromagnetic interference in demanding installation environments.

The VENEZIA V6 is engineered for marine use, with testing for UV exposure, salt fog, vibration, temperature extremes, and thermal shock. Its conformal-coated circuit boards help protect electronics from corrosion agents, while the amplifier carries an IPX2 certification. An integrated fanless convection cooling design uses the chassis heat sink instead of a cooling fan.

Three preamp input sections and independently configurable filter groups make the VENEZIA V6 suitable for tailored multi-speaker systems. Channel groups can use high-pass, band-pass, low-pass, or bypass settings as applicable. Optional HRC BM2 remote level control can adjust the C-channel low-pass output level for a subwoofer application.

Design & Installation

The VENEZIA V6 uses a die-cast aluminum chassis with an aluminum heat sink and fanless convection cooling. Its upper control area is protected by a polycarbonate panel, and the circuit boards receive conformal coating for added protection from corrosion agents. The amplifier is rated IPX2 and is engineered for marine environmental testing.

Plan mounting space for the 330 x 200 x 54 mm chassis and allow room for wiring at both ends. Use a 9 to 16 VDC power system, connect compatible preamp-level source outputs to the A, B, and C input sections, and match each speaker load to the supported channel configuration. Bridged channels require a 4-ohm load; the optional HRC BM2 remote is used only with the C-channel filter set to low-pass mode.
