Hertz Venezia V5C 5-Channel Compact Marine Amplifier
$799.99
AUDIO360 AD0C 0 AWG Amplifier Wiring Kit
$78.00
The Hertz Venezia V5C is a compact five-channel marine amplifier designed to power four full-range speakers and a subwoofer from one chassis. It provides a practical solution for boats where installation space is limited but a complete, amplified audio system is desired. Its five-channel layout supports a balanced system with dedicated power for cabin, cockpit, or tower speakers plus bass reinforcement.
At 14.4V, the Venezia V5C delivers 80 watts RMS to each of four channels at 4 ohms and 330 watts RMS to the subwoofer channel at 4 ohms. For compatible 2-ohm loads, output rises to 115 watts RMS per full-range channel and 550 watts RMS for the subwoofer channel. The amplifier can also be configured in a three-channel arrangement using bridged full-range channels.
Hertz Advanced Class D technology is used to provide efficient amplification in a compact marine-ready format. The amplifier has a 10 Hz to 42 kHz bandwidth and is Hi-Res certified, supporting detailed playback from compatible source components and speakers. Balanced fully-differential input circuitry is designed to help reject electromagnetic interference in demanding onboard electrical environments.
The Venezia V5C is engineered and tested for marine use, including exposure to UV, salt fog, vibration, temperature changes, and thermal shock. Its IPX2 rating applies when the amplifier is mounted vertically with its connections facing downward. Corrosion-resistant circuit boards and a fanless cooling design support installation in appropriately protected marine locations.
Built-in crossover controls allow the amplifier to be matched to full-range speakers, component systems, and a subwoofer without requiring an external crossover. The A and B channels offer selectable filter arrangements, while the subwoofer section includes low-pass, subsonic, phase, and bass-boost adjustments. Safe-Lock input, output, and power connections help create a secure installation, while automatic short-circuit, overload, and thermal protection helps safeguard the amplifier during operation.
Key Features
- Five-Channel Configuration: Powers four speakers and one subwoofer from a single amplifier.
- Advanced Class D Design: Delivers efficient power with reduced heat generation.
- Marine-Ready Construction: Tested for UV, salt fog, vibration, and temperature exposure.
- IPX2 Certification: Supports water-drip resistance when vertically mounted correctly.
- Integrated Crossovers: Provides adjustable filtering for speaker and subwoofer tuning.
- Automatic Protection Circuitry: Resets after short-circuit, overload, or thermal protection events.
Design & Installation
The Venezia V5C uses a compact die-cast aluminum chassis with an integrated fanless convection cooling system. Its marine-focused construction includes corrosion-resistant, coated circuit boards and a polycarbonate cover protecting the onboard control section. Balanced fully-differential inputs and Safe-Lock connections are intended to support clean signal transfer and durable wiring connections.
Install the amplifier in a ventilated, protected location and use the vertical mounting orientation with connections facing down when IPX2-rated installation is required. It accepts dedicated RCA preamp inputs for channels A, B, and subwoofer, so pair it with a source unit or processor that provides appropriate preamp outputs. Match connected speakers to the stated impedance limits, configure the onboard filters for the system layout, and use bridged channels only in the specified three-channel configuration.
