Hertz CAPRI HD1 Marine Remote Control With Display

The Hertz CAPRI HD1 is a wired marine remote control with an integrated display for compatible Hertz CAPRI source units. It places access to the CAPRI system in an additional location on the boat, helping passengers and crew manage entertainment without returning to the primary source unit. It is intended as an optional expansion component rather than a standalone audio player.

Designed for boat owners adding control at the helm, cabin, cockpit, or another onboard area, the CAPRI HD1 replicates the functions of the connected CAPRI main unit. Its screen, rotary controller, and button layout provide direct system interaction at the remote location. This makes it practical for multi-area marine entertainment installations.

The CAPRI HD1 works as part of the Hertz CAPRI marine ecosystem, with current documentation confirming compatibility with CAPRI HBB and CAPRI H100 source units. It communicates through the applicable optional CAPRI connection cables. Audio sources, amplification, speakers, and power are supplied by the connected CAPRI system, not by the HD1 itself.

A marine-focused IP67 rating supports installation where protection from dust and temporary water immersion is important. The panel-mount design uses a screw-fastened installation and a 60 mm mounting hole. Its compact depth helps accommodate installation in suitable dash, console, and panel locations.

The HD1 is a useful upgrade path for a CAPRI system that needs more convenient control points rather than another complete receiver. Hertz connection examples show installations with one remote as well as configurations using three remote controls with a CAPRI H100. Optional CAPRI HMA C13Y and CAPRI HMA C1310 cables are used according to the desired system layout.

Design & Installation

The CAPRI HD1 combines a display, control knob, and dedicated buttons in a compact rectangular marine control panel. Its IP67-rated construction is intended for marine environments where dust and water exposure are considerations. The supplied installation hardware includes four screws for panel mounting.

Plan for a 60 mm (2.95 in.) mounting hole and secure the unit with screws. Use the appropriate optional CAPRI cable for the connected source unit and cable run: the CAPRI HMA C13Y is a 30 cm cable, while the CAPRI HMA C1310 is a 10 m extension cable. Confirm source-unit compatibility and cable routing before cutting the mounting panel.
