The APS 8 R combines a water-repellent pressed-paper cone with a high-density flux ferrite motor assembly. Its motor is optimized using finite element modeling, while the surround and spider are designed to help control rocking-mode behavior. The supplied steel mesh grille and plastic gasket complement the driver for a finished installation.

Use this subwoofer in a properly built reflex enclosure with at least 8.5 liters of internal volume and a 30-40 Hz tuning target. Confirm the 187 mm installation opening and 79 mm mounting depth against the available mounting location before cutting. Select an external amplifier compatible with a 4-ohm load, then set crossover, gain, and enclosure tuning carefully for the system.
