The VOXX Thinkware F790AIR-TGM is a dual-channel dash camera system designed to record the road ahead and behind your vehicle in Full HD. It provides locally stored video evidence for everyday driving incidents, parking impacts, and manually saved clips. Its connected design also supports app-based event notifications and remote video functions when used with compatible telematics service.

This dash camera is suited to drivers who want continuous front and rear coverage without adding a screen to the windshield. It automatically starts recording with vehicle power and organizes footage by continuous, incident, manual, motion, time-lapse, and parking-event categories. A built-in three-axis impact sensor helps identify events for separate recording.

The F790AIR-TGM records Full HD 1080p video at 30 frames per second and uses H.265 compression in MP4 format. HDR, Super Night Vision technology, and dewarping video processing support clearer footage across changing lighting conditions. The front camera has a 140-degree viewing angle, while the rear camera provides a 160-degree viewing angle.

For connected vehicle use, the system can work with the Linkr mobile platform and compatible telematics hardware to provide crash notifications with video, event filtering, playback, downloads, and available on-demand video requests. High-resolution recordings remain on the onboard microSD card, while telematics video transfers are intended for convenient remote review. Available connected features and service levels depend on the telematics setup and plan.

The F790AIR-TGM fits well in a vehicle-security or remote-start upgrade where a compatible TGM telematics module is already being installed. Its plug-in cradle incorporates GPS for a clean windshield installation and supports GPS-based safety functions. The included hardwire connection supports parking surveillance, while the dual-band Wi-Fi connection provides direct setup and video access through a compatible smartphone app.

Design & Installation

The compact front camera uses an adhesive windshield mount and a separate plug-in cradle that integrates the power connection and GPS module. The main camera includes a microSD card slot, microphone, speaker, manual-record button, Wi-Fi button, status indicators, and a supercapacitor auxiliary power source. The rear camera mounts with adhesive and connects to the front unit with a dedicated rear-camera cable.

Install the front camera high on the windshield without obstructing the driver's view, then adjust its angle so the hood occupies approximately one-quarter to one-eighth of the live-view image. The hardwire cable is required for parking mode and should be installed by a trained technician. For connected crash notifications, remote video features, and telematics-app access, pair the dash camera with the required compatible TGM/telematics hardware and applicable service plan.
