KENWOOD DRV-A510WDP Front & Rear GPS Dash Cam

The KENWOOD DRV-A510WDP is a dual-channel dash camera system designed to document the road ahead and behind your vehicle. Its front camera records in Quad HD while the included rear camera records in Full HD, giving drivers coverage for daily commuting, work vehicles, trucks, and RVs. Built-in GPS and a G-sensor add location, speed, and event data to recorded footage.

This system is suited to drivers who want continuous recording without regularly managing files. Loop recording automatically replaces older clips when the compatible microSD card is full, while collision detection helps protect recordings associated with sudden impacts. The front camera also includes a 2-inch full-color TFT display for local viewing and setup.

Recording performance centers on a Sony STARVIS IMX335 front sensor, a 2560 x 1440 front recording resolution, and a 1920 x 1080 rear recording resolution. The front lens uses WDR, while HDR support helps manage scenes with bright highlights and darker areas. This combination is intended to maintain useful road detail across changing daylight conditions.

Wireless Link lets the DRV-A510WDP work with the KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER app for live viewing, settings adjustment, file review, and firmware updates through a compatible smartphone. Bluetooth is used during app connection, while the wireless link supports access to the camera from a short distance. KENWOOD VIDEO PLAYER software is also available for reviewing recorded footage on compatible Windows and Mac computers.

The included rear camera is IP67 rated for dust and water resistance and connects to the front camera with a 26-foot cable. That reach supports rear-window, exterior, cargo-area, or trailer-adjacent camera placement where appropriate. For expanded parked-vehicle monitoring, the optional KENWOOD CA-DR1130 hardwire kit enables parking-mode and motion-detection recording.

Design & Installation

The DRV-A510WDP uses a compact front-camera body with a 2-inch full-color TFT screen, built-in microphone, speaker, GPS receiver, G-sensor, and supercapacitor. Its rear camera has an IP67-rated enclosure and an adjustable mounting arrangement for positioning the recording view. The supercapacitor provides reserve power to help properly close a recording file if vehicle power is interrupted.

Install the front camera near the windshield using the supplied adhesive mount and connect it to vehicle power with the included car power cable and USB car charger. Route the rear-camera cable carefully along trim panels, avoiding airbag paths, then mount the rear camera at the rear windshield or another suitable location. A compatible Class 10 microSDXC or microSDHC card is required for recording, and the optional CA-DR1130 hardwire kit is required for parking-mode and motion-detection recording.
