Audiovox ACADC5 4K AI Dual Dash Camera

The Audiovox ACADC5 is a dual-camera dash cam system designed to record the road ahead and behind the vehicle. Its front camera records in 4K at 30 frames per second, while the included rear camera records in 1080p at 30 frames per second. It is suited for drivers who want continuous video documentation along with on-screen and voice-based driving alerts.

The system combines a 3.0-inch display, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 64GB TF card in one package. GPS data can add location and speed information to supported recordings, while Wi-Fi works with the VOXX ADAS mobile app for viewing stored files and configuring the camera. The display can switch among traffic visualization, front-camera, rear-camera, and combined-camera views.

Its AI-based driver-assistance functions are intended to add situational-awareness alerts during normal driving. Supported functions include lane departure warning, forward collision warning, pedestrian collision warning, stop-and-go notification, virtual bumper, rear collision warning, and lane-change assistance. These alerts are assistance features only and do not replace attentive driving or driver judgment.

The ACADC5 uses a 3-axis G-sensor to detect impacts and preserve emergency footage separately from ordinary loop recordings. Emergency clips record a total of 20 seconds, including five seconds before and 15 seconds after the event trigger. The camera also supports parking recording when paired with the optional ACADCHW hardwire kit.

For a vehicle upgrade path, the ACADC5 can be installed as a self-contained safety and recording system without replacing the factory radio. The included car power adapter and Type-C power cable support standard in-vehicle installation, while the rear camera provides a second recording angle. Adjustable AI sensitivity and vehicle-mode settings help tailor the system for sedan or truck use.

Design & Installation

The ACADC5 combines a front-facing dash camera, integrated 3.0-inch monitor, microphone, speaker, status LED, and mounting bracket in one compact main unit. Both the front and rear cameras use 140-degree fields of view, with F1.75 and F1.8 apertures respectively. The package includes an adhesive-mounted rear camera, a 64GB TF card, a car power adapter, Type-C power cable, and a panel pry tool.

Mount the front camera where it does not obstruct the driver's view or interfere with airbags and vehicle controls, then route the rear-camera cable securely to the back glass. The camera begins loop recording when the vehicle starts and stops when the vehicle is turned off. Parking-mode recording requires the separately available ACADCHW hardwire kit, and AI calibration is performed after initial setup while driving on a straight road with visible lane markings.
