XtremeVision XV95BK License Plate Backup Camera

The XtremeVision XV95BK is a wired rear-view backup camera designed to mount at the vehicle's license-plate area. It provides a rearward image to a compatible display or head unit, helping drivers see behind the vehicle while parking or reversing. Its universal license-plate-style format suits many cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, and buses.

This camera uses a color CMOS imaging system with a wide-angle lens specification of 170°/135°. The broad field of view is intended to show more of the area behind the vehicle than a narrow-angle camera. It is a practical option for drivers adding a camera to an aftermarket receiver or other monitor with a composite-video camera input.

For low-light use, the XV95BK incorporates eight infrared LEDs and is specified for 0 lux operation with IR illumination active. Its automatic white balance and 2:1 interlace scanning system support a stable color video image under changing lighting conditions. The camera outputs standard composite video through an RCA connector.

The camera is designed for exterior installation, with an IP67/IP68 waterproof-grade specification and a chrome-colored finish. It is rated for operation from -20°C to 75°C, making it suitable for normal year-round vehicle use. The compact license-plate mounting approach keeps the camera positioned near the center of the vehicle's rear.

A 19-foot video cable and 4-foot power-supply cable support routing from the rear of the vehicle to a compatible display and power connection. The XV95BK operates from 12V DC and has a maximum current consumption of 150 mA. It can be used as a straightforward camera addition for a compatible rear-camera-ready audio or video system.

Install the camera at the rear license-plate location and route the included 19-foot RCA video cable to a compatible monitor or head unit. The camera requires a 12V DC power connection; it is commonly connected so the image appears while reverse is selected. Confirm that the receiving display accepts a composite RCA rear-camera signal before installation.
