The XtremeVision XV-50LCC is a wired rear-view camera kit built into a U.S.-style license plate frame. It adds a camera view and parking-assistance alerts to vehicles that need extra rearward visibility while reversing. Its frame-mounted format is intended for drivers who prefer an alternative to drilling a bumper for separate parking sensors.

A 170-degree wide-angle camera is designed to show a broad area behind the vehicle, helping the driver monitor obstacles and positioning during parking. The CMOS image sensor supplies the rear-view video feed for a compatible display. Distance scale lines and a trapezoid ruler function provide additional visual references while backing up.

The XV-50LCC incorporates three parking sensors in the license plate frame assembly. These sensors provide audible parking assistance as obstacles approach, with increasing alert frequency at closer distances. Voice-prompt distance alerts are also listed for the system.

For lower-light reversing situations, the camera uses automatic LED illumination controlled by a photoresistor. The lighting activates in dim conditions and switches off when ambient light is sufficient. Its IP67 weather-resistance rating is intended to support exterior mounting through normal rain, dust, and road-weather exposure.

This camera kit is suited to an aftermarket rear-view upgrade when paired with a compatible video display or head unit. It uses a 12-volt DC power connection and a yellow video-output connection. The license plate frame design fits standard U.S. license plates and includes mounting hardware for installation.

Design & Installation

The XV-50LCC combines a camera, three parking sensors, and lighting in a chrome-plated license plate frame. The exterior-mounted assembly is rated IP67 for resistance to water and dust. Its camera is designed around a 170-degree viewing angle, while the parking-sensor system has an adjustable 110-degree sensor angle.

Mount the frame at the vehicle's rear license plate location using the included screws, washers, nuts, rubber pieces, and hex wrench. Connect the red socket to 12-volt DC power and the yellow socket to the vehicle's compatible video display input. Confirm clearance around the plate area and route wiring safely away from heat, moving parts, and sharp edges.
