Rockford Fosgate T4652-S 6.5" Component Speaker System

The Rockford Fosgate T4652-S is a 6.5-inch, two-way component speaker system designed for a more precise front-stage upgrade than typical factory coaxial speakers. It separates the woofer and tweeter so each driver can be placed where it works best in the vehicle. The kit includes two woofers, two tweeters, two external passive crossovers, grilles, and mounting hardware.

This system is suited to listeners building a detailed, amplifier-powered car audio system with a dedicated front component stage. Its 4-ohm nominal impedance and 150-watt RMS power rating make it appropriate for pairing with a properly matched aftermarket amplifier. The system is rated for 40 Hz to 30 kHz frequency response and 89 dB sensitivity at 1 watt/1 meter.

The 6.5-inch woofers use tri-laminate Liquid Crystal Polymer fiber cones, butyl rubber VAST surrounds, and linear Nomex spiders. Rockford Fosgate's VAST design attaches the surround vertically to increase usable cone area within the mounting footprint. A die-cast aluminum FlexFit basket supports slotted mounting positions for added installation flexibility.

High frequencies are handled by separate 1-inch Liquid Crystal Polymer ring-radiator dome tweeters with aluminum phase plugs. The tweeters use dual neodymium magnets, low-resonance chambers, and the Discreet Dual Clamp mounting system. Flush and angled surface-mount hardware is included to help position the tweeters for the vehicle and listener layout.

Each set includes an external asymmetric 12 dB-per-octave Butterworth crossover network at 3 kHz. The crossover provides selectable +2 dB, 0 dB, and -2 dB tweeter levels, along with on-axis or off-axis and bi-amp settings. These adjustments help the system integrate with different tweeter locations, vehicle interiors, and amplification plans.

Its woofers use tri-laminate LCP fiber cones and butyl rubber surrounds, while the separate tweeters use LCP ring-radiator domes with aluminum phase plugs. Grilles are included to protect the woofers after installation.

Verify the vehicle's available woofer opening, 5.67-inch mounting cutout, and 2.79-inch mounting depth before purchase. The included FlexFit basket slots can help accommodate non-standard factory mounting patterns, while the tweeters include flush and angled surface-mount hardware.
