Rockford Fosgate uses a high-energy neodymium motor structure and an integrated heat-sink die-cast aluminum frame to manage heat in the shallow design. The 2.5-inch single voice coil uses pure copper windings and a composite former intended to reduce thermal buildup and motor-related distortion. A multi-vent pole structure and aluminum spider spacer further support cooling during sustained operation.

The woofer combines a linear carbon fiber, PMI, and glass-fiber cone with an aluminum dustcap. Its supercritical synthetic organic polymer surround is chemically bonded to the cone body, while dual progressive Nomex spiders help control excursion. Braided flat tinsel leads are designed to remain flexible through repeated cone movement.

The T1S2-10S is designed as a component subwoofer, so it requires a separate enclosure, amplifier, wiring, and source signal. The T1S2-10S uses a die-cast aluminum basket with integrated heat-sink fins, a high-energy neodymium motor, and a removable die-cast aluminum trim ring. Its cone is made from carbon fiber, PMI, and glass fiber, paired with an aluminum dustcap and chemically bonded polymer surround. Dual Nomex progressive spiders, stitched tinsel leads, and a vented motor assembly support controlled movement and heat dissipation.

Plan for a 9.13-inch cutout and 3.01 inches of mounting depth, plus adequate rear clearance for wiring and ventilation. Use a rigid sealed enclosure with 0.5 to 0.75 cubic feet of net internal volume after woofer displacement, and connect it to an amplifier suitable for a 2-ohm load. The speaker uses 10 AWG slot-loaded terminals; installation hardware and a 5 mm driver bit are included.
