The W2791 cable uses two 24 AWG conductors and a braided shield for balanced audio signal transmission. Its electrical specifications include low conductor resistance and controlled capacitance characteristics. These details support clean signal delivery across the cable's 30-foot length in compatible balanced audio systems.

For demanding locations, the cable remains specified for use from -20°C to +70°C (-4°F to +158°F). Its 105-strand annealed bare-copper conductors are designed to retain flexibility during repeated movement. The GOLD STAGE-30 uses Mogami W2791 cable with 105 strands of 0.05 mm annealed bare copper in each conductor, XLPE insulation, a braided shield, and a flexible black PVC jacket. The cable measures 5.5 mm in outside diameter and is fitted with black-body, gold-contact 3-pin XLR connectors. Its construction is specified for repeated flexing, with a manufacturer-rated flex life of 131,000 cycles under Mogami test methods.

Connect the female XLR end to a microphone or other device with a male XLR output, then connect the male XLR end to a mixer, audio interface, stage box, preamp, or other compatible female XLR input. Route the cable away from pinch points, sharp edges, and high-traffic areas where practical, and use cable ties or floor-safe cable covers when needed.
