A served shield surrounds the internal conductors to help maintain a protected balanced connection in studio equipment chains. The cable uses red and white conductor insulation, a clear LDPE filler, and a black PVC outer jacket. Custom XLR connectors use silver pins for low contact resistance, with polished black-chrome connector housings.

Design & Installation

The cable uses two 19/0.25A OFC conductors with CPP insulation, a clear LDPE monofilament filler, an approximately 100/0.18A served shield, and a black PVC jacket. Its nominal outer diameter is 7.8 mm, with a tolerance of ±0.5 mm. Polished black-chrome XLR connector housings and silver pins complete the terminated assembly.

Connect the XLR male end to an XLR female output and the XLR female end to an XLR male output, such as a microphone, mic preamp, mixer, converter, powered monitor, or AES3 device.
