The Mogami GOLD 3.5 2 TS 15 is a 15-foot stereo Y-adapter cable that connects one 3.5mm TRS stereo connection with two 1/4-inch TS mono connections. It is intended for line-level stereo audio routing between portable, desktop, studio, and live-sound equipment. The split 1/4-inch ends carry the left and right channels separately.

This cable is useful when a laptop, phone, tablet, portable recorder, or audio interface has a 3.5mm stereo jack but the receiving equipment uses separate 1/4-inch unbalanced inputs. It can connect a stereo source to two mixer channels, a PA system, or other left/right line inputs. It may also be used in the opposite direction when compatible line-level connections are required.

The GOLD 3.5 2 TS 15 is designed for users who need a longer stereo breakout cable without adding separate adapters and patch cables. Its 15-foot overall length provides reach for studio desks, DJ setups, rehearsal spaces, and equipment racks. An 18-inch fan-out at the dual 1/4-inch end helps route the left and right plugs to adjacent or spaced input jacks.

Mogami builds this model with W2930 multicore microphone snake cable, using two individually shielded conductors. The cable construction includes XLPE insulation, a drain wire, and spiral bare-copper shielding to help limit interference in electrically busy environments. Gold-plated contact surfaces are used on the connectors.

As an unbalanced stereo breakout cable, this model is a practical link between consumer-style 3.5mm stereo audio and professional-style dual 1/4-inch TS connections. It is not a balanced TRS-to-TRS cable and does not convert an unbalanced signal to balanced operation. For systems with compatible line-level jacks, it provides a direct left/right connection path with no external converter required.

Design & Installation

The cable uses a black flexible PVC jacket with gold-plated connector contacts and straight connectors at both ends. Its two-channel construction uses 26 AWG conductors with individual shielding, a drain wire, and spiral bare-copper shielding. The 3.5mm TRS plug and both 1/4-inch TS plugs are male connectors.

Connect the 3.5mm TRS end to a compatible stereo line or headphone output, then connect the two 1/4-inch TS plugs to the left and right unbalanced inputs of a mixer, amplifier, PA, recorder, or interface. For reverse use, connect the two 1/4-inch TS outputs to a compatible stereo 3.5mm input. Confirm that connected equipment is set up for line-level operation where applicable, and use the 18-inch fan-out to keep the left and right channels organized.
