MB Quart RW-110A 10" Powered Under-Seat Subwoofer

The MB Quart RW-110A is a compact active subwoofer enclosure designed to add bass where a conventional large subwoofer box is impractical. Its low-profile under-seat format helps conserve cargo space while combining a 10-inch subwoofer and built-in mono amplifier in one unit. It is suited to vehicle audio upgrades in cars, RVs, and ATVs where installation space is limited.

This powered enclosure uses a 10-inch, 4-ohm dual-voice-coil subwoofer with a manufacturer-listed 150-watt RMS power handling rating and 800-watt peak rating. The integrated one-channel Class A/B amplifier is rated at up to 800 watts maximum. Its sound controls allow the bass output to be adjusted for the vehicle, source unit, and front-speaker system.

A variable 50-150 Hz low-pass crossover helps blend the subwoofer with full-range speakers by limiting its upper-frequency output. Variable bass boost from 0-12 dB and phase adjustment from 0-180 degrees provide additional setup flexibility. The included wired bass remote gives the driver a convenient way to adjust bass level from the cabin.

The RW-110A accepts either RCA-level signals or high-level speaker inputs. This makes it usable with many aftermarket receivers as well as factory audio systems that do not provide RCA preamp outputs. Its 0.2-9V variable input sensitivity supports matching the amplifier to different source-output levels.

MB Quart uses a pressure-treated foam surround, poly-cotton spider, vented aluminum voice-coil former, and a vented motor assembly in the subwoofer design. The amplifier section includes a QTD aluminum heat sink and pulse-width-modulated power supply. Together with its built-in protection-status indicators, these features support a compact all-in-one bass upgrade path.

Design & Installation

The RW-110A has a black enclosure with a built-in protective mesh grille over its round 10-inch driver. Its subwoofer construction includes a heavy-duty powder-coated steel frame, pressure-treated foam surround, poly-cotton spider, high-temperature cone adhesive, and vented aluminum voice-coil former. The integrated amplifier uses an aluminum QTD heat sink, while nickel-plated brass terminals and screw-down connectors are specified for its connections.

Verify available clearance at the intended mounting location before purchase and mount the enclosure securely so it cannot shift while driving. Connect power and ground through the unit's 8 AWG terminals, use the specified 15-amp fuse protection, and choose RCA or high-level signal input according to the source unit. Set input level, low-pass crossover, bass boost, and phase after installation, then place the wired bass remote where it can be reached safely.
