JVC CS-DR621MWL 6.5" RGB LED Marine Speakers

The JVC CS-DR621MWL is a white 6.5-inch, 2-way coaxial speaker pair designed for marine and motorsports audio installations. It provides a practical replacement or upgrade for compatible speaker locations where exposure to water is a concern. Integrated RGB LED illumination adds adjustable visual customization without requiring separate light rings.

These speakers are rated IPX5 when mounted, helping them withstand water jets from any direction under the applicable test conditions. That makes them suited to boat, UTV, ATV, and other open-air audio applications that need more protection than conventional interior car speakers. The IPX5 rating applies to the speakers, not the remote control.

Each speaker combines a 6.5-inch polypropylene woofer with a rubber surround and a 1/2-inch balanced-dome tweeter. With 75 watts RMS power handling at 4 ohms and a 65 Hz to 21 kHz frequency response, the pair is intended for a full-range speaker position. Its 86 dB sensitivity supports use with a properly matched amplifier or compatible receiver.

The built-in RGB illumination is controlled with the included RF remote. It offers 21 color selections, 21 dynamic lighting modes, plus adjustable brightness and speed settings. The controller requires a 12-volt DC boat or vehicle battery connection and draws up to 0.5 amp per pair.

For larger installations, compatible CS-DR621MWL and CS-DR620MBL speaker pairs can be linked for synchronized lighting. Up to six pairs, or 12 speakers, can be connected and synchronized. This lets a system expand from one pair to a coordinated multi-speaker marine or motorsports installation.

Design & Installation

The CS-DR621MWL uses a polypropylene injection woofer cone, rubber surround, ferrite woofer magnet, and neodymium tweeter magnet. Its white finish and UV-resistant woofer construction are intended for exposed marine and motorsports environments. The coaxial layout places the tweeter within the woofer assembly to simplify installation in a single 6.5-inch speaker location.

Confirm a 5-11/16-inch cutout and at least 2-9/16 inches of mounting depth before installation. The package includes two speakers, an RF remote, two 3 m link cables, mounting screws, and a mounting template; the LED controller also needs 12 V DC power and ground wiring. For synchronized lighting, connect compatible CS-DR621MWL or CS-DR620MBL pairs using the supplied link connections and follow the wiring instructions.
