The JBL Stage Marine 6.5-inch speakers are a white, two-way marine audio pair designed for boats and other open-air installations. They provide a practical upgrade for systems that need clear, full-range sound in environments with wind, engine noise, sun, and spray. Each speaker combines a woofer and a grille-mounted tweeter in a compact 6.5-inch format.

With 60 watts RMS and 180 watts peak power handling, these speakers are suited to marine head units or external amplifiers that are matched to their 4-ohm load. Their 90 dB sensitivity helps them produce useful output from modest amplifier power. The 60 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response covers bass, vocals, and high-frequency detail for everyday on-water listening.

A polypropylene woofer cone and balanced dome tweeter support a balanced presentation with defined highs and usable low-frequency response. The tweeter is bridge-mounted in the grille rather than placed through the cone. This design helps seal the front of the woofer cone and reduce the path for water intrusion toward the motor structure.

The Stage Marine 6.5 is built for exposed marine use with an IPX5 marine rating. Its sealed motor structure, one-piece UV-resistant cast-polymer basket, rubber surround, and attached grille are intended to withstand sun, salt, sea spray, and washdowns. The white finish is well suited to many boat interiors, consoles, and deck panels.

These speakers fit a system built around a compatible 4-ohm marine receiver or amplifier and can be used as front, rear, or cockpit speakers. Their 5-1/32-inch mounting cutout supports installation in properly prepared panels with adequate rear clearance. A pair of speakers, mounting hardware, foam gasket, speaker pigtail harnesses, and installation accessories are included for a more straightforward installation.

Design & Installation

The Stage Marine 6.5 uses a polypropylene cone, rubber surround, one-piece cast-polymer basket, and attached white grille. Its grille-mounted balanced dome tweeter and sealed woofer-cone front are part of the marine-focused design. Stainless steel mounting hardware is included for corrosion-conscious installation.

Verify the available panel space before installation: each speaker requires a 5-1/32-inch cutout and 2-3/4 inches of mounting depth. Use the included foam gasket between the speaker and mounting surface, connect the included pigtail harnesses with correct polarity, and pair the speakers with a compatible 4-ohm marine audio source. The included drill bit and mounting hardware can assist with installation in suitable boat panels.
