Design & Installation

The DBX25-3 combines a polypropylene cone with mica injection, a high-excursion butyl rubber surround, and a high-density-flux ferrite magnet. Its enclosure is constructed from thick MDF and uses an angled rear panel. The cabinet includes plated high-current terminals for the speaker-level connection from an external amplifier.

Install the enclosure in a secure location where it cannot shift during driving and where it does not interfere with vehicle equipment. Connect it only to an amplifier that is stable at 4 ohms, then set amplifier gain and low-pass filtering appropriately for the rest of the system. Use appropriately sized, protected speaker cable and keep wiring clear of sharp edges, moving parts, moisture, and heat sources.
