The Audison AVX 6.5 II is a 6.5-inch, 2-way coaxial speaker set from the VOCE II line. It combines a 165 mm woofer and centrally mounted 25.4 mm dome tweeter in each speaker, providing a compact solution where separate tweeter locations are not practical. Its coaxial architecture places the tweeter at the center of the woofer, helping the two drivers originate sound from the same location. Audison supplies separate passive crossover modules for the woofer and tweeter: AVCX 2 XW and AVCX 2 XT. This separates the filtering duties rather than using a single shared inline network. The speaker can alternatively be used in an active two-way system with DSP-based filtering and separate amplifier channels for the woofer and tweeter sections.

For passive operation, connect the woofer and tweeter sections through the included AVCX 2 XW and AVCX 2 XT crossover modules. For an active DSP installation, Audison recommends a 70 Hz high-pass filter for the woofer and a 3 kHz high-pass point for the tweeter, both using 24 dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley filters.
