The Audison APS 10 S4S is a 10-inch shallow-mount subwoofer driver designed for compact car-audio bass upgrades. It is optimized for sealed enclosures beginning at 10 liters, or about 0.35 cubic feet.

Its water-repellent pressed-paper cone is engineered to provide a practical balance of low-frequency response and durability for mobile environments. A 60 mm voice coil and high-density flux ferrite motor support power handling and cone control.

Audison uses a ventilated basket arrangement beneath the spider, eliminating the need for a center-pole vent. This design helps enable installation close to the rear wall of an enclosure while retaining a shallow overall profile. The cone and dust-cap geometry is also designed to support linear movement while keeping mounting depth low.

As a passive subwoofer driver, the APS 10 S4S requires a separate compatible amplifier and a properly built enclosure. It can be used as a single 4-ohm subwoofer, or two units can be wired in parallel for a 2-ohm load when matched with an appropriate amplifier. A steel mesh grille and plastic gasket are included to help protect the driver and finish the installation.

Its basket includes air venting beneath the spider, while the motor assembly is designed for control under higher-excursion operation. The included steel mesh grille and plastic gasket provide added driver protection and installation finishing hardware.

Install this driver in a sealed enclosure with an internal volume of at least 10 liters (approximately 0.35 cubic feet). Confirm the available mounting depth of 88 mm and the listed driver dimensions before cutting a mounting opening. Use an amplifier designed to operate safely with a 4-ohm speaker load, observe correct polarity, and ensure the enclosure is rigid and airtight for intended performance.
