The Zoom G6 is a floor-based guitar multi-effects processor designed to bring amp modeling, effects, looping, and USB recording into one compact performance rig. It gives guitarists a direct way to build complete tones without assembling a large pedalboard or relying on multiple separate devices. The onboard expression pedal, touchscreen, footswitches, and patch system provide hands-on control for practice, recording, and live use.
Its sound platform combines Zoom effects processing with amp models and impulse-response cabinet support. A patch can contain up to seven effects, while the processor is specified for up to nine simultaneous effects overall. With 70 preloaded IRs and support for loading additional compatible WAV IR files, the G6 can be tailored for direct monitoring, recording, or use with a guitar amp.
The 4.3-inch color touchscreen helps make signal-chain editing more visual and accessible. Users can drag, drop, and reorder effects while organizing up to 240 patch memories. Four play modes—Effect Board, Bank/Patch, Memory, and Looper—change the footswitch workflow to suit different playing situations.
For practice and songwriting, the integrated looper records stereo WAV audio and can use an SD, SDHC, or SDXC card for extended recording time. The G6 supports loops up to two hours with a compatible card and can store up to 256 loop files. It also includes 68 onboard rhythm patterns for playing along without an external backing source.
The G6 can serve as the center of a flexible guitar setup. It offers guitar input, stereo outputs, headphone monitoring, an auxiliary input, and a send/return loop for integrating an external effect. USB connectivity also makes it a 2-in/2-out audio interface for Mac and Windows computers, while Zoom Guitar Lab supports patch and effect management.

Design & Installation
The G6 uses a pedalboard-style layout with an integrated expression pedal, multiple footswitches, a master-level knob, and a 4.3-inch TFT color LCD touchscreen. Its 418 mm-wide enclosure is designed for floor placement and gives players direct access to patches, effects, tempo, tuner functions, and looping controls. The unit includes left/mono and right outputs, a headphone connection, an external effects loop, auxiliary input, control input, SD-card slot, remote connector, and Micro-B USB port.
Connect a guitar to the mono input, then route the left/mono and right outputs to an amplifier, powered monitors, mixer, or recording system as needed. For silent practice, connect headphones to the left/mono headphones jack; for external pedals, connect the send and return jacks to the effect's input and output. Power requires the included Zoom AD-16 9V DC adapter; USB bus power is not supported, and an SD/SDHC/SDXC Class 10 or higher card is recommended for expanded looping functions.
