The Zoom G1X FOUR is a compact guitar multi-effects processor designed to put a broad range of tones, practice tools, and real-time control in one pedalboard-friendly unit. It helps players replace or supplement individual effects pedals with flexible processing for practice, rehearsal, recording, and performance. Its integrated expression pedal gives the G1X FOUR hands-free control that distinguishes it from the non-pedal G1 FOUR model.
With 71 built-in effects and 13 amp models, the G1X FOUR supports clean, driven, modulated, ambient, and pitch-based guitar sounds from a single processor. Up to five effects can be used at once, and their order can be rearranged within a patch. This makes it practical for players who want to build complete signal chains without carrying a larger collection of separate pedals.
The built-in expression pedal can control compatible effects such as volume, wah, delay, and pitch in real time. This adds performance-focused control for swells, wah-style movement, pitch bends, and other changing effect parameters. The pedal also supports a toe-switch action for turning compatible pedal effects on or off.
For independent practice and songwriting, the G1X FOUR includes a 30-second mono looper and 68 rhythm patterns. Loops can be overdubbed, while the rhythm section provides timing support across multiple time signatures. The looper can be placed before or after the effects chain, allowing different approaches to shaping looped guitar parts.
The G1X FOUR fits easily into an amp-based setup, a headphone practice rig, or a compact desktop editing workflow. It accepts a standard guitar input, includes an AUX IN jack for an external music source, and combines line and headphone monitoring at its output. Zoom Guitar Lab for Mac and Windows can be used to manage patches, edit sounds, add effects, and maintain a backup of patch data.

Design & Installation
The G1X FOUR combines a compact multi-effects control surface with an integrated expression pedal, dedicated footswitches, rotary controls, and a 128 × 32 dot-matrix LCD. Its layout supports both floor operation and hands-on desktop editing. The expression pedal is built into the unit rather than requiring a separate external controller.
Connect a guitar to the standard mono INPUT jack, then connect the combined OUTPUT jack to a guitar amplifier, line-level destination, or headphones as appropriate. An external player can be connected to the stereo AUX IN jack for play-along use. Power is available from four AA batteries, the optional Zoom AD-16 adapter, or USB bus power; use Zoom Guitar Lab on a Mac or Windows computer for patch management and effect editing.
