The sE Electronics T2(P) is a factory-matched pair of large-diaphragm condenser microphones for stereo recording and detailed close-miking. It is designed for creators who need two microphones with closely aligned frequency response for dependable stereo capture. The T2 uses a hand-crafted 1-inch true-condenser capsule with titanium-sputtered Mylar diaphragms. Its design emphasizes quick transient handling, making it appropriate for sources with pronounced attack such as drums, cymbals, percussion, piano, and guitar cabinets. The 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range supports use across vocals and a broad range of instruments.

Four selectable polar patterns make each microphone adaptable to different placement and isolation needs. Choose cardioid or hypercardioid for more focused pickup, omnidirectional for a wider capture field, or figure-8 for bidirectional techniques. This flexibility helps the pair work in spaced, coincident, and other stereo-miking arrangements.

Each T2 provides switchable 40 Hz and 80 Hz low-cut filters plus -10 dB and -20 dB attenuation pads. The filters can help reduce low-frequency rumble or manage proximity effect during close placement. The pads allow the microphones to accommodate louder sound sources while reducing the chance of overloading the connected input.

Design & Installation

Each T2 has a die-cast all-metal housing, metal switches, and a spring-steel wire-mesh grille. The flat, round-edged chassis is designed to work with the included custom suspension shockmount. The matched-pair set is supplied in a metal case for storage and transport.

Connect each microphone to a mixer or audio interface using balanced XLR microphone cables, then enable 48V phantom power from the connected device. Mount the pair on the included stereo bar for stereo techniques, or use the individual shockmounts for separate placements.
