The RØDE NT1SIGNATUREWHITE is a large-diaphragm studio condenser microphone designed for vocal recording, instruments, voice-over work, podcasting and streaming. Its analog XLR connection makes it a practical choice for home studios and production spaces using a mixer or audio interface. The white finish gives creators an option that can complement brighter studio and desktop setups.

A 1-inch HF6 true condenser capsule and cardioid pickup pattern help focus capture on the intended source while reducing pickup from the rear of the microphone. The side-address design is suited to vocalists, acoustic instruments and spoken-word recording. Its 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range supports full-range recording applications.

The NT1 Signature Series is specified with an equivalent self-noise rating of 4 dBA and a maximum SPL rating of 142 dB SPL. This combination supports both quieter sources and louder performances when the connected preamp is set appropriately. The microphone has a stated sensitivity of 25 mV at 94 dB SPL.

Its active circuitry uses a JFET impedance converter with a bipolar output buffer, and the microphone provides a balanced 3-pin XLR output. It requires 48V phantom power from a compatible audio interface, mixer or preamp. This makes it an appropriate upgrade for users moving from USB microphones to an XLR-based recording chain.

The included SM6 shock mount, pop filter and XLR cable provide the core accessories needed to build a recording setup. The shock mount helps isolate the microphone from stand-borne vibration, while the pop filter helps manage plosive bursts during close vocal work. Add a stable microphone stand or boom arm and a phantom-powered XLR input to complete the system.

Design & Installation

The NT1SIGNATUREWHITE has a rugged aluminum body with a high-grade, scratch-resistant white finish. It measures 52 mm wide by 52 mm long and 189 mm high, with a microphone weight of 313 g. RØDE designs and manufactures the NT1 Signature Series in its Sydney, Australia facilities.

Mount the microphone in the supplied SM6 shock mount with the gold dot facing the sound source and pop filter. The SM6 can attach to a standard microphone stand or studio arm using its 5/8-inch or 3/8-inch thread options. Connect the included XLR cable to a mixer or audio interface, lower the input level before connection, and enable 48V phantom power only after the system is connected.
