This item RØDE NT1SIGNATURERED Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone $148.00
Mogami GOLD STUDIO-10 10' XLR Microphone Cable $87.95
Bundle total: $235.95

The RØDE NT1 Signature Series is a large-diaphragm, side-address condenser microphone designed for studio recording, streaming, podcasting and voice-over work. This red NT1SIGNATURERED version uses a conventional 3-pin XLR output, making it suited to audio interfaces, mixers and other equipment with a phantom-powered microphone input. It provides a focused recording solution for creators who need a dedicated studio microphone rather than a USB microphone.

The microphone uses a tight cardioid pickup pattern that emphasizes sound in front of the capsule while reducing pickup from behind the microphone. This makes it useful for vocals, spoken-word recording, acoustic instruments and close-miked sources in home or project studios. The gold dot identifies the front of the side-address microphone for correct placement.

Its HF6 1-inch true condenser capsule is paired with a smooth 20Hz–20kHz frequency range and 25mV sensitivity at 94dB SPL. RØDE describes the tonal character as warm in the low end, detailed through the midrange and open at the top. A 4dBA A-weighted equivalent-noise specification helps preserve low-level detail when recording quiet voices or instruments.

The NT1 Signature Series handles sound-pressure levels up to 142dB SPL, allowing it to cover both softer sources and louder instruments. Its JFET impedance converter with bipolar output buffer is designed for an XLR studio signal path. It requires 48V phantom power supplied through the connected XLR cable by a compatible mixer or audio interface.

This package includes the SM6 shock mount, an adjustable pop filter and an XLR cable, providing the key accessories needed to mount and connect the microphone. The shock mount helps reduce transmitted vibration, while the pop filter helps control plosive air bursts during vocal recording. It is a practical fit for a first XLR recording chain or as a dedicated vocal and instrument microphone within an existing setup.

Key Features

  • HF6 1-Inch Capsule: True condenser capsule captures detailed studio recordings.
  • Cardioid Pickup Pattern: Focuses on the source and reduces rear pickup.
  • 4dBA Equivalent Noise: Supports clean recording of quiet sources.
  • 142dB SPL Handling: Accommodates loud vocals and instruments.
  • XLR Studio Connection: Works with compatible mixers and audio interfaces.
  • Included SM6 Accessory Kit: Adds isolation, plosive control and XLR connectivity.

Design & Installation

The NT1 Signature Series has a rugged high-grade aluminum body with a durable finish, and this version is finished in red. It is designed and made in RØDE's precision manufacturing facilities in Sydney, Australia. The microphone measures 52 x 52 x 189mm and weighs 313g.

Mount the microphone in the included SM6 shock mount on a standard microphone stand or studio arm, using its 5/8-inch or 3/8-inch mounting thread. Position the gold dot toward the performer and place the pop filter between the source and capsule for vocal work. Connect the included XLR cable to an interface or mixer, turn its input level down before connection, then enable 48V phantom power as required.
