The Rockford Fosgate TMS69BL14 is a rear saddlebag-lid speaker kit designed to add 6 x 9-inch audio capability to select Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles. It uses a pair of TMS69 two-way coaxial speakers, purpose-built mounting components, and vehicle-specific harnessing for an integrated rear-audio upgrade. The kit is intended for factory hard saddlebags with compatible ABS plastic lids.

This kit is suited to riders building on an existing Harley-Davidson audio system and looking to bring sound farther back in the motorcycle. Rear speakers can help create a more balanced listening position when paired with compatible front speakers and amplification. The included main and saddlebag harnesses are designed to connect with Rockford Fosgate compact-chassis Punch or Power series amplifiers.

Each included TMS69 speaker is rated at 100 watts RMS and uses a 6 x 9-inch two-way coaxial layout. A 1-inch film-dome neodymium tweeter handles high frequencies, while the larger woofer is engineered for full-range motorcycle use. The specified frequency response is 56 Hz to 20 kHz, with a 4-ohm nominal impedance.

Rockford Fosgate's Element Ready design addresses the outdoor conditions faced by motorcycle audio equipment. The speakers use weather-resistant construction along with a reinforced polymer frame, Santoprene components, and a neodymium motor structure. The grille assembly uses painted stamped steel with an ASA plastic frame, while a sandwich-clamping gasket design helps seal the lid installation.

The TMS69BL14 is an installation kit rather than a self-powered audio system, so it is designed to work as part of a properly matched amplified setup. It includes the speaker pair, grilles, mounting rings, cutting templates, harnesses, fasteners, cable-management hardware, and speaker protectors. The factory Harley-Davidson radio must be flashed before this kit can be used.

Design & Installation

The included TMS69 speakers use carbon-fiber-reinforced polypropylene cones, Santoprene VAST surrounds, Santoprene front isolation spiders, poly-cotton spiders, and 35.6 mm voice coils. Their neodymium ring-magnet motors and ultra-high-temperature glass-reinforced polymer frames are designed for motorcycle environments. Painted stamped-steel grilles with UV-resistant ASA plastic frames complete the lid-facing assembly.

Installation requires cutting the factory saddlebag lids using the supplied templates, mounting the grille, ring, and speaker assembly, and routing the included harnesses through the bags and motorcycle. The kit is compatible with select 2014-and-newer Street Glide and 2015-and-newer Road Glide motorcycles using ABS plastic lids; fiberglass lids are not supported. Leave at least 2 inches of clearance behind each speaker magnet when packing the saddlebags, and use qualified installation assistance if needed.
