The Rockford Fosgate P2V2-TS is a pair of 3/4-inch car-audio tweeters designed to add or replace high-frequency drivers in an OEM or custom system. It is intended for vehicles with a dedicated tweeter location, such as a dash or A-pillar position, as well as installations that need an added high-frequency stage. The kit includes the necessary passive crossover networks to filter the signal for the tweeters.

These 4-ohm tweeters are suited to listeners replacing frequency-limited factory tweeters or building a component-style front stage. Their 3.5 kHz to 25 kHz frequency response focuses on upper-frequency detail, while the 90 dB sensitivity rating helps them work efficiently with compatible amplification. The supplied crossover offers a standard 0 dB input and an optional -3 dB input for adjusting tweeter level.

Each P2V2-TS uses a 3/4-inch Tetolon inverted-dome design. The compact driver size supports placement where a larger tweeter will not fit, while the supplied cups provide two installation approaches. Flush mounting creates a more integrated appearance, while surface mounting can simplify placement in an exposed location.

Power handling is rated at 75 watts RMS and 150 watts peak for the kit's specified configuration. The included passive crossover uses a 9 kHz, 12 dB-per-octave high-pass filter to direct appropriate frequencies to the tweeters. This makes the P2V2-TS a focused high-frequency addition rather than a full-range speaker replacement.

The package is designed for a complete left-and-right installation, with two tweeters, two crossover networks, mounting cups, wiring extensions, hardware, connectors, and zip ties included. It can be used as part of a planned speaker upgrade where mounting depth, cutout size, impedance, and wiring route have been checked in advance. Professional installation is a practical option when integrating with factory wiring or mounting in vehicle trim panels.

Design & Installation

The P2V2-TS uses Tetolon inverted-dome tweeters and includes dedicated flush-mount and surface-mount cups. Copper spring contacts in the cups allow front-side tweeter servicing with the included removal tool. The kit also includes two passive crossover networks, with separate mounting screws for the tweeters and crossovers.

Confirm available space before installation: flush mounting requires a 1.54-inch cutout and 0.78 inch of mounting depth, while surface mounting uses a 1.22-inch mounting diameter and 0.57 inch of depth. Route wiring before mounting, observe positive and negative polarity, and use the included crossover networks according to the installation instructions. The included 18-inch crossover extensions, crimp butt connectors, and zip ties support a tidy installation.
