The Hertz MP25-3, also identified by Hertz as the MP 25.3 PRO, is a pair of 29 mm (1.14-inch) car-audio tweeters designed for component speaker upgrades. They reproduce upper-midrange and high-frequency detail that factory speakers can lack, making them suitable for front-stage systems. Their 4-ohm design allows integration with compatible car-audio amplifiers and passive or active crossover systems.

Each tweeter uses a Tetolon soft dome and a 25 mm ferrofluid-cooled voice coil. This combination is engineered for detailed treble reproduction with controlled response across its specified 1.4 kHz to 22.5 kHz frequency range. With 91 dB SPL sensitivity, the MP25-3 is intended to work efficiently in a properly configured system.

A high-density neodymium magnetic circuit provides compact motor structure and control of the moving assembly. Hertz's Center Tuning Duct design allows air exchange between the dome and rear chamber, supporting the tweeter's 1,200 Hz resonant frequency. The rear chamber is damped to support a controlled high-pass roll-off when the tweeter is filtered correctly.

The MP25-3 is rated for 120 watts peak power when high-pass filtered at 2.5 kHz with a 12 dB-per-octave slope. A separate crossover is required; these tweeters should not be connected to a full-range signal without appropriate high-pass protection. They can be used in custom two-way or three-way systems when crossover points, slopes, and amplifier gain are selected for the rest of the system.

Hertz includes installation hardware intended to support flush, angled surface, and OEM-style mounting approaches. The compact 17 mm (0.67-inch) mounting depth can help with installations in factory sail panels, dash locations, or custom pods. Pair the tweeters with compatible midrange or woofer drivers and a properly matched crossover network for a balanced front soundstage.

The MP25-3 uses a Tetolon fiber soft dome, a 25 mm voice coil, and a neodymium magnetic circuit. Its rear chamber contains damping material, while the faceplate geometry is designed by Hertz for off-axis installation behavior. Each speaker weighs 0.07 kg (0.14 lb), helping keep the tweeter assembly compact for custom or factory-location mounting.

Use these tweeters only with a suitable high-pass crossover or DSP crossover setting. Hertz specifies the 120-watt peak rating with a 2.5 kHz, 12 dB-per-octave high-pass filter; system tuning should account for the companion drivers and amplifier gain. The included flush-mount, angled surface-mount, and OEM-mounting accessories provide multiple placement options, but verify available panel depth and opening dimensions before installation.
